MEANING OF (دین)

We begin the first lesson with the word “din”(دین)  to see what the word “din”  means in the Quran’s lexicon. Keep in mind that there are many words in Farsi that are similar to Arabic but the meaning that we give to them in Farsi perhaps differs from the Arabic definition. There might be many examples regarding this topic, such as the word “din”. In Farsi and specially the Farsi spoken amongst people in society, the word “din” refers only to one thing, which is “aiien” and “kish”,  meaning beliefs and faiths; this is called “din”.
